Hello everyone this week’s information is on the Wall Mounted Hairdryer Model WM5C.
This dryer has a proven track record and has been in service for more than 10 years here in Australia. Jerdon a US based company had until just recently, marketed these dryers under the Jerdon First Class branding. Jerdon has been working on different models and have decided to relaunch the entire range of driers as Pro Versa by Jerdon.
This 1500 watt wall mounted hairdryer is essentially exactly the same as the First Class except for the new branded logo.
To update you on the dimensions of this WM5C Wall Mounted Hairdryer seeing it’s not on the downloadable PDF they are as follows-
Height is 14cm Width is 17cm Depth is 9cm .Curly cord from cradle body to hand piece is 30cm but can stretch to 150cm (this is not normal) just its capability. The power cable will reach a maximum of 150cm from the cradle body to a power point. An electrician is required should you wish to shorten the cable. Please note if you are installing this hairdryer for the first time you should make sure the Handpiece cannot fall in any water such as the sink, bath, and toilet or be in reach where it can be used inside a shower.
The unit is built with a high heat overload switch so if it does have extended use it will cut out and normally reset after 10 minutes. These dryers are not meant to dry someone’s wet shoes; the melted nozzle is a giveaway when trying claim warranty. Speaking of which the WM5C wall mounted hairdryer has a 12 month limited warranty. Meaning it does not apply to misuse or abuse but rather to material defects or workmanship. There is a full Use and Care book enclosed with every drier.
The Use and Care booklet has mounting instructions included. Wall mounting is effected by a steel wall plate screwed to the wall which the main body of the drier clips into. Guests would find it’s difficult if they are trying to remove the unit. Should a replacement be required you do not need to re drill the tiled wall in your bathroom to put up the new dryer. The steel bracket design has not been changed so just unclip your old drier and place the new one on the same bracket. We think that’s a little easier than builder who glued the driers to the wall in a new motel this year.
The strongest selling point for these driers is the fact it simply sits in cradle not needing any location points to activate a switch to operate the drier. Simplicity for the guest is always the best thing for tired travellers. Being a wall mounted hairdryer they tend to stay in the room after the occupancy has finished. The same cannot be said for the free hand held units which can sometimes be mistaken as their own and it’s packed in the bag and leaves your property.
We managed to get a hold of a pic of the ProVersa branding for the Wall Mounted Hairdryer.
Regards
Team JK
